Our Wednesday night mountain bike ride is moving to Elmwood Park on July 16. You can also meet Ned Overend, Haley Batten, the Trinity Race Team, and more! 

Meet mountain bike legend Ned Overend. Ned is a six-time NORBA cross-country mountain bike national champion, and he was the first cross-country world champion. He was inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 1990 and into the United States Bicycling Hall of Fame in 2001. He is also an all-around great guy and fun to hang out with!

New Belgium will be visiting the Cardinal Cafe and taking over the taps on July 14.

Join us for a fun, untimed 20k or 20-mile bicycle ride to benefit Pathfinders for Greenways and PedalSafe ROA. This event is designed to encourage people of all ages and abilities to celebrate, explore, and enjoy one of Roanoke’s greatest assets—our city’s system of greenways and parks. 

Sierra Nevada will be visiting the Cardinal Cafe and taking over the taps on April 22.

The Cardinal Cafe and Cardinal Bicycle host group rides for all levels and types of riders! Check out the schedule, and sign up for group ride notifications to be alerted for cancellations and changes. 

Gather your nerdiest bike friends into a team to compete for prizes and glory at Cardinal Bicycle Trivia Night! There will be a mix of bike history, bike tech, local knowledge, and random shenanigans. Come hang out at the Grandin Cafe for a night fun!

Learn the basics so you can take proper care of your bike and be a more confident rider. Chris and Dan go over how to fix a flat, basic road and trail-side repairs, what to check before you ride, how to clean and care for your chain, what tools you should carry, when to see a mechanic, and more. 

Gold Sprints are indoor roller races where two riders race head-to-head. The bikes are secured on fork mounts, so no roller riding experience is required. If you can turn pedals on a bike, you can sprint for gold!

Join us for a screening of “Maah Maah Hey Together,” starring local pro rider and friend, Gordon Wadsworth. This event is a fundraiser for Roanoke Star Cycling.
